Heres my 383 combo going into my wagon

.040 over 4-bolt 350
Stock 5.7 rods
Eagle cast stroker crank
SpeedPro Hyper. pistons (coated skirts)
Vortec heads w/LT-4 springs and titanium retainers

Voodoo 60103 Cam
227/233 Duration at .050
.489/.504 lift
110/106 LSA and ICL

Performer Intake w/ Q-jet
re-curved GM HEI
1-5/8" headers with 2.5" pipe and Ultra-flows
700R4 from '90 Iroc w/ 2400-2600 stall
3.73 posi 12 bolt

I have pretty much settled on the Voodoo 60103 Cam but somebody mention that the LT4 springs may be a little weak for that cam.

I already have the heads set-up with those springs but, I could change em if I just had to.

What do you think?

heres specs from Scoggins Dickey on the springs

SDPC Part Number: 12495494
Manufacturer: GM Performance Parts
Locator O.D. : 1.32"
Inst. Height : 101# @ 1.78"
Lift Range : 1.22"

Thanks

I'm not Harold, however those springs will work with the GMPP hot cam that has very similar specs and gross lift of .525 with 1.6 rockers. I would think that if the spring pressures are the same or within what the Voodoo wants, you should be fine.

As Tim said, the LT4 springs should work just fine......
We have run smaller-lift VooDoos with stock Vortec springs, and turned 6000. All the VooDoo cams have the same ramp rates, and so have similar spring requirements.
