Has anyone modified a 67 front Camaro bumper to fit onto a 67 Chevelle? i was considering the swap but wanted to know if anyone had tried it yet?

For one, I would think the Camaro bumper would be quite a bit narrower.

Thats the idea. a small narrow bumper with a roll pan under it.

I think he means it isn't wide enough. You would have to weld 2 bumpers together.

That's my thoughts also. Chevelles are quite a bit wider than Camaros.

I was considering widening the camaro bumper and then add a roll pan under it. I was also going to create a custom grill. Any one have pictures of some custom front ends for ideas?

Not yet....I am in the process of moving the firewall back 3 inchs right behide the engine and smoothing out the rest. The dash will move back a few inchs too and a custom center console will flow into the dash. The plan is to purchase a set of viper seats for the front and buckets for the rear with a center console too. After that, I'll tackle the front grill and bumper. I'll post more pics by the end of the week.

Personally if I was doing to do a custom grille id stick with the stock look but change it enough where its different but people do double takes because something is wrong but they dont know what.

Maybe make it out of small round SS tube.

Something with expanded metal could look cool.

Instead of round ss tube, I was thinking of using ss bar stock I'd run a couple of rows of bar stock from one fender to the other and have the lights mounted behide the grill. I was also thinking of using the camaro bumper and maybe even paint it body color. The bumper would look something like this:

I'm still trying to locate a picture of a grill I like.
