: Second set of quarters going on.
427stingray Jan 26th, 08, 2:55 PM Well I am well on my way to putting the second set of quarters on my GTO. The first set I put on I didn't like how they came out. I cut them off and ordered another set and have installed the drivers side and it came out real nice. After the weld was ground down, you could barely tell it wasn't always there. A little plastic and the seam will be invisible. I just cut the passenger side off and will be fitting it today. I guess it just like that old saying "if at first you don't succeed, try try again". One thing it gets a little expensive.
I also opened a photo bucket account and will get that up and running so I can post some pictures.
Andy69 Jan 26th, 08, 8:24 PM I wouldn't know anything about that :)
Andy69 Jan 26th, 08, 10:08 PM Yea right Andy, Look at the bright side Andy at least you lost your title of Mr. quarter:yes:

All 4 of them.
Andy69 Jan 27th, 08, 9:19 AM I started reskinning my doors. I might claim the title of Mr. Door Skin pretty soon :)
427stingray Jan 27th, 08, 11:27 AM I don't know Andy, I will be taking care of my doors soon, and it usually takes me 3 or 4 times to get things the way I like them.
I used a gallon of bondo on the quarters to get them right, then decided I didn't like how the welding came out. Even though the welding was now under the bondo. And I got the quarters real straight.

If you would have put her through a good training program when you first met her, you wouldn't have a honey do list.
No tail wagging the dog here.:)

I wish I had that problem, this little postage stamp I'm setting on doesn't take much, plus I'm in on the south side of the tracks, don't want to make it look to good, they'll come in here and steal it. Good thing I have these guard dogs.:)
By the way, I haven't seen any pictures of your ride lately, how about an update. One with you and your bride setting in it.
427stingray Jan 27th, 08, 8:33 PM I fitted the passenger side quarter today. It took me about an 1 1/2 hours to do it. I guess when you do it so many times you know what you are looking for in the fit.
I think I should have welded zippers on with them so I can just unzip them and replace them if I feel they don't look right.

Instructions? only if they have big pictures.
Actually I have all the pictures down loaded onto my computer, I just have to find the time to do it.
You know putting quarters on and tearing them back off is time consuming.
350_Malibu Jan 28th, 08, 9:54 PM I actually thought about redoing one of my qarters, but not at $400-500 a pop. Since I'm going to drive the hell out of I figured good enough was good enough!
