I have done alot of looking on line to find a COMPLETE master blot kit for my 70 chevelle SS but most are incomplete by not furnishing new bolts for my door hinges.I also have seen "black stainless"bolts listed by the paddock. They think alot of their kit @$280.00 plus over $40.00 for S/H.Anyone had good luck elsewhere w/ a "complete kit" at a reasonable price?

If you want complete and correct, go to www.amkproducts.com

So they don't continue to rust (which they will) and sieze all the bolts up. Worst thing you can do is wire wheel a bolt, paint it and reuse it.

I second the AMK kits. Good stuff and about as complete as you can get.

Although my kit did not come with the door hinge bolts either. I bought hinge bolts from Ground Up but they are kind of spendy @ $1.75 each (24 total, you do the math).

Thanks for the info....I knew about amk products but I didn't know until I saw their website that they also sell door hinge bolt seperately that I can add to an order. Like they say,IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHERE YOU ARE GOING...yOU WILL BE WHERE YOU HAVE NEVER BEEN BEFORE.

I have to agree with Tom. AMK is the most complete you can get. They have it in kits or however you want it. Good place to start.

what the new one not rust...
they stainless??

wirewheeled/cleaned bolts with grease on the treads/then painted(heads) don't rust
any faster than the new bolts would.. and alot cheaper

I've done the same thing and never had a problem either.
