I have a 1964 Malibu SS. The upper rear control arm bushings, the ones pressed onto the top of the rear axle are about 1.375" in diameter. I cannot find new replacements anywhere; all parts listings are for the larger diameter bushings. Can anyone help?!

I sold some control arms to a gentleman from Texas. We were talking about these bushing (1964 rear upper control arm bushings for the rear end)

He provided me with this information and I thought I would pass it on.

"The 1964 bushings are a one-year-only part. They are being reproduced by Rare Parts, Inc., but they are pricey. The bushing is part number 9773067 which is the same as the original GM part number. Some of the Pontiac guys I talk with also say that NAPA carries the Rare Parts bushing under the part number RPC 15612. I've looked at the pic of the bushing on the NAPAAUTOPARTS website and it looks correct, but I have not tried it.

I also stumbled upon two NOS bushings with the GM part number 9773067 on them the other day and bought them. I was going to use them, but then I found these from Rare Parts. The NOS ones are 40 years old and look old, although the rubber looks to be fine. But there's probably someone out there who would treasure them more than I do since they were made in the USA. I'm probably going to put them on ebay tomorrow, so I'll be taking a pic of them then. I'll send you that pic if that helps."
