: What brand suspension parts? ...
brimac Jan 25th, 08, 12:46 PM I need to do a front end rebuild ..so I'm shopping for parts. Using Moog, as example .. A arm bushings and ball joints price out over $230. (Rock Auto) I see complete rebuild kits, on ebay between $140-$200. I'm wondering about the quality of those parts. Good, bad or in between? Suggestions? Thanks.

I went with Spicer proffesional grade from Rockauto. Can't comment on other brands.
Spicer is good stuff.
Dave427 Jan 25th, 08, 2:36 PM Moog has really nice stuff, stay away from the white box overseas stuff.

Derek69SS Jan 25th, 08, 2:39 PM DANA/Spicer > Moog > anything else (except high-end race parts like Howe)
pvcoachcraig Jan 25th, 08, 2:45 PM Went with a PST kit. What a positive difference.
rak1 Jan 25th, 08, 3:25 PM I went with a complete Global West suspension package and CPP disc brakes kit. The system looks great but I have yet to drive the car since my elky doesn't have a drivetrain yet. I have pictures in my photo's on this site. everything was very easy to install and came with easy to follow instructions; the nice thing is everything fit perfect and is fully adjustable.
Derek69SS Jan 27th, 08, 11:50 AM I went with a complete Global West suspension packageYou must not like money. :p

For everything it was around 3k just for parts, but that included the QA1's with coilovers, etc. everything from front to back; I have some pictures in my photo's.
babbling gearhead Jan 28th, 08, 8:50 PM I went with a kit from PST. I went with the partial kit. Hind sight being 20-20 I should have bought the full kit. I went ahead and purchased the rest of the pieces seperately. So I paid alittle more than I needed.
TREX Jan 28th, 08, 11:01 PM I bought a Deluxe front end rebuild kit from yearone.com. It came with everything for the suspension except the bushing for the front sway bar, when I say everything I mean everything. I did not specify a brand all I did was pick out the deluxe rebuild kit and payed for it. It came to 320.00 shipped. I just got back from Napa had to order the sway bar bushings which were cheap. Only thing you have to make sure of is whether or not you need the oval bushings or the round bushing for the rear back of the lower arm.
BTW it looks friggin sweet with the new suspension

7521 Feb 19th, 08, 1:10 AM I have gone with P-S-T on my 72 el camino and Moog on my 70 chevelle. P-S-T had the better quality parts for the front. P-S-T was a little less expensive and no sales tax and free shipping too. I went with UMI control arms on the rear of both and I'm happy with the result. Although, UMI does not make the braces for the rear. I'm in the process of ordering them from Edelbrock. UMI will supply their stuff in black or red.
