A friend of mine has a 68 Camaro runnin' a SB327 alchohol motor and wants to put some juice to it.Anyone know a good forum where we can find some setup info from people "in the know"?

A friend of mine has a alky 540 and he made several unsuccessful tries at running a nos/alky injection - with advice from NX and eventually put a nos/gas plate on it and it ran great ever since.

We never figured out why the alky nitrous system ran like crap.

Nitrous and alcohol can be made to work, but it is tricky. The problem is that alcohol runs very cool on its own. On cooler days alcohol cars don't want to run very well to begin with, nitrous obviously exasperates the problem. The problem is the alcohol does not want to atomize very well when it is cooled even further by the nitrous. You end up with gobs of alcohol rather then a well atomised mist.

Yeah, we've read some stuff here and there about that and the fact that weather conditions affect the tuning much more with the alky....So looks like he'll have to set up a dedicated fuel supply for the NOS.
