Hey I might be selling my 1968 Chevelle Malibu Soon and i want to get a feel around what i should ask for it. I need to buy a more reliable car for college (aka gas milage, winter, fuel injected).
Its a 68 chevelle malibu, red with black interior(interiors brand new), 4 speed A/C with a rebuilt 327 Hei distributor with a Hei supercoil, Long tube headers, 3.73 12 bolt rear. Theres some minor problems with the paint, Chrome looks brand new car drives perfect no problems. It has a hurst compitition shifter with the hurst white ball of course.
I have a aftermarket Headunit(its a 350$ head unit) with a set of Sony xplod 4 way 6x9s on the deck lid, then another pair of Pioneer 3 way 6x9s mounted (hidden) up front.
Well if anyone has any ideas its so hard to find one for sale around here so its hard to get a price.. If anyone has a good guess or what they have seen let me know

My guess would be 7-9k this time of year to actually move it. A lot of nice cars in pics on Ebay tend to stall around 10k for 68 Malibus. the ones priced above that look like they never meet reserve and get relisted.
Now being a young college guy your logic seems sound on getting a better winter car. What I would do though is try to find a beater small car and keep your chevelle :) good luck

I completely agree, stash the chevelle away and get a civic for 1-2k or so and just hold on to the chevelle. I japanese beater car will last you a while and they're pretty durable.

maybe something in the lines of this...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1992-Honda-Civic-Low-Reserve-Ready-To-Drive_W0QQitemZ170187485758QQcmdZViewItem?hash=ite m170187485758

i know it's crap but it'll get you from point a to point b, and japanse cars have good gas mileage...etc and work during the winter.
