I just noticed this weekend that my secondary throttle blades are not 100% vertical like the primaries at W.O.T. They're more about 85% open and have a slight tilted angle still. Is this normal? Should they be the same as the primaries? Looks like the only adjustment I can make is to bend the rod that connects the two (holley 4150)?

Picture of it at WOT:

This is really common on the double pumpers. I usually take the link off of the carb and heat with a torch and put more of a bend in it to shorten the length. It's surprising how many people never notice this. Make sure you heat the link, they break easily if bent cold. Just did this on a 750 for my Brother in law's 66 chevy II and it definately made a diff. Maybe there's something in the design of the carb that engineer's felt this was needed, but it definately doesn't make sense having it only open 75% when the primaries open 100%. Bob
