I need a new radiator for my 70 Chevelle SB. I went to the local parts store and they list 70-71 as being the same, but 72's are different. The only reaseon I ask is because the 70-71 Radiator is listed at $180, but the 72 is $80. What if any, is the difference?? Thanks in advance.

I don't know about your application, but on a big block car, the width of the core is 3/8" wider on a '72 and the location of the transmission cooler lines to the ATF cooler are a little different. I'd bet that it's some combination of these. In a pinch, I'm sure you could make it fit.
