I have a holley mechanical fuel pump on the 396 in my 66SS now and it is leaking oil out of the diaphragm. Im told this is common.

Been thinking of removing it and putting a different brand pump on. What brands would you recommend or should I just get a rebuild kit for this? It doesnt have that many miles on it and is leaking already.

The new pump will also have AN fitting connected to it. This is not a race car so as for the volume, I wont need a race pump. Just a good performance pump.

Chris.

Buy a Carter 172 "NASCAR" pump...great pump and probably more than you'll ever need but no regulator required.
Comes with -10AN inlet, -08AN outlet.
Available from Summit/Jegs for less than $80, I believe.
Sometimes Tom Baird (MC71454) has them for sale, too...
