Hi everyone! I saw another gentleman posting about his father's Chevelle and it got me thinking. My father bought a 70' Chevelle in Lynn Ma. in 1995. It had sat for a long long time. It was a black (almost flat) with the chrome molding across the doors. It had a black bench seat out of a Skylark or something with a fold down armrest. 15" Corvette Rally's, four speed with a hurst shifter, Firestone Firehawk tires, aftermarket am/fm cassette with speakers in the package tray. It had this funny key lock typre thing on the fender. I'm assuming it was a type of security system back then. I'm not 100% sure if it was an SS car or not but it had sat for at least 12 years or so, so it's a strong possibility. It had a 396, the SS strip on the back, with the SS painted black, and SS emblems on one side. The other side was stolen. It also had a non-working cowl induction hood (no stripes). The flap was stuck up. SS gauges with idiot lights. A tach was put in the pod where the clock would have been. It was NOT an A/C car. It was involved in an accident in 1996 or very very early 1997. The nose on the drivers side was pushed in and bent the windshield pillar. It was towed to G/J towing in Revere Ma. I don't have the VIN or anything. The last place I can remember seeing it was in Salem Ma. in a guys garage who was thinking about parting it out for his 69' right after the accident. I saw the 69' a few years later in the same condition it was in years before, so I was kind of hoping that it got away. The 69' Chevelle of the guy who bought our car had, which I can't remember his name, was at that time red with a black vinyl top, only a drivers seat and a nicely built 454. So, Salem Ma., 1997 was the last time our beloved Chevelle was seen. As a matter of fact, for what's it worth, the gentleman we bought it from worked for the DPW in Swampscott Ma. It breaks my heart to imagine what happened to it. My dad loved that car. I remember it could chirp all four gears. That car is what gave me the bug. It was one of the deals where at the time we just didn't have a place to put it, so we were forced to sell it. Thanks for any help!

The guy who had bought the car from Rob got some parts from me to fix it . I really didnt know him except he had that 70. I had heard the car was sold from the dpw guy to the used car lot then wrecked. I never knew it had a owner in between. Im betting I know your father if he was around lynn/swampscott with that car in the mid 90`s
