Hey all.
Can someone tell me if this is normal. On my 66 when I pull the headlight switch out one click I the front parking lamps are on and the head lamps are off. when I pull it to the second click the parking lamps go off and the head lamps are on. Is this how it's supposed to work? is there a way to get the parking lights and head lamps to be on together?
Thanks for your help.

Yes it's normal, they all do that, as far as getting them to stay on when headlights are on, Yes, but it will require some rewiring.

68-69 headlight switch will leave the park lamps on when the HL are on.
This was a Nader thing in 68 I think.
I used a 70 something switch in my 59 to get the later results.
And I do have a diagram of how the switch is wired.
But it most likely uses a different connector than the 66.

If you want to run your parking lights all the time, here is a way to do it, very simple.

66 - first notch is park and tail
second notch is headlights and taillights but no parking lights.

Wow, thats too simple, Thanks rocky... I assume I should test to verify there's voltage at the "new connection" slot when the switch is pulled to the second position, right?
