I am currently working on my 67 which is a frame off, I have all Hotchkis suspension for the car being front and rear control arms along with the dropped springs. My question is that I would like an opinion on a good shock that gives adequater handling with a nice ride. I do not want a terrible rough ride. The car also has a rack in it so it should handle well when all is said and done. At least I hope so man I never did a frame off before and it is a lot of work but should be worth it when evrything is said and done.

Did you buy the Hotchkis springs?
If so buy the Hotchkis Bilstein shocks. They're very well matched to those springs and the price is very reasonable.

Rack as in rack and pinion? Can you give some info about your setup?
Id be interested in hearing more. Cant help ya on the shocks, I like a bit on the firm side (KYB)..
I have heard much good feedback on Edelbrock IAS shocks if youre into comfort.

The IAS shocks do work good with stock or close to stock spring rates, but as you step up the spring rate their rebound damping is too weak (I currently run a set with 750/200 springs and they are WAY out of their league.)
They did work quite well with my old 525#/150# springs, which is quite close to the Hotchkis springs. That being said for springs in that rate neighborhood the Hotchkis Bilsteins still work better than the IAS shocks.

Elky, I am putting a rack and pinion set up in the car. I have an LS2 with an auto trans setup, I started the frame off on it and the project really snowballed from there. Oh well it should be real nice when I am done. In case you were wondering about the rack set up I did some searching and it appears that a Unisteer set up from Hartrod's out of Ventura Ca. had the best price.

Ill have to look for them. Dont have a link, do ya? Was the install really involved?
Over the years Ive gotten used to the feel from my late model truck and Vettes and really like it. Not sure Ill like the real light feel of old school power steering , thats all.

I have not done the install yet, but they assured me it would be really easy. UNISTEER was the website but Hartrods.com was where I purchased it from. I'll keep you up to speed.
