I have a 327 250 hp that needs building it has 4 barrel intake #3917298 heads and is out of a 68 Inpala .Are these heads any good and what do I need to make 300 hp don't want to go the Vortec route

You should not have a problem making 300 horses with these heads, I think these have 1.94 and 1.50 valves. None the less a good valve job and a mild hyd. cam with about 9.5 c.r. and headers should get you 300 horses with those heads. Good luck. graemlins/beers.gif
