Removed my starter engine and cracked the plastic end of the solenoid. Had an old starter but the plast is different. Why? Think the one with the cracked plast is a hd starter? Know they sell new parts but a least there two different anyone that know the partnumber I need?

YOu'll have to purchase a whole new solenoid, sorry. Take it with you to get the same one.

the other solenoid can be used but it will need a shorter spacer and screw to attach to the starter. the black starter is the HD-hi-torque model, but if the solenoid on the rusty starter is good just shorten the spacer tube and screw to fit after mounting the solenoid up to find how much to shorten. :)
