Any quality comments on left & right exterior mirrors brands? The regular non-remote chrome versions? There's OER, OPGI, Fargo (who's that?), Corvex and what else?

This vendor http://www.noahperformance.com/proddetail.php?prod=N6611 sells a convex dimpled "correct" 1970 Chevelle mirror. I saw the details of his LH&RH versions on ebay before Christmas. All of the others I have seen have a concave dimple in the mirror-to-base mount. Any comments on this? It's an interesting detail. This person asks the same question http://www.chevelles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=159604&highlight=mirror+dimple

I've heard some repros have a metal base, but a chromed plastic mirror portion :noway: Can that be?

Finally, my 70 looks like it has some type of repros with poor chroming, no casting rib, hard plastic gasket, and concave dimple. They are, however, offset and therefore different for each side (or 'Enantiomers' for you chemistry guys  )

My biggest problem with repo mirrors is that they adjust to easy. Slam the door and they can change. I wish there was a way to tighten them. The mounts are flimsy too. I mount the bracket and then install the mirror and tighten it and it never gets tight like the stock ones do.

Seems OPGI sells their mirrors as having technical merit, but does not differentiate their repros as being year-specific.
