I am buiding a 540 cube motor with a hi rise intake(victor 454r), my question is will this fit under the stock 69ss hood or will i need a cowl hood? Thanks for any and all responses, Mark.

I doubt it.My buddy has a 68 chevelle with a 427 tall deck,high rise intake with a dominator,and he went to a cowl hood for more clearance.Here's his car.
