9.5:1 with composite headgasket, 10:1 with shim
untouched deck

a while ago, i bolt my heads on with shim gaskets... they didnt seal up too well, so i got my heads out to surface them and try it again... but then i am thinking... should i go with 9.5:1 with the composite gasket, or should i use the shim headgasket but get half a point more compression? I have 210shot of nitrous that i will be putting in and wondering which compression would be the better choice... and if it would be a bad idea to use shim headgaskets and nitrous? i heard the shim doesnt seal up that well...

also... if i happen to need to use the nitrous to.. help me merge into the freeway, would 9.5:1 help me (against needing to use high octane gas), because i will be using 91 octane mainly?

but then, if it cant be done with 91 octane, ignition retard, colder plugs, and 9.5:1 compression, i wouldnt mind using 10:1 compression and use it at the track and along with the 112 leaded that they sell there...

Are you going to have any quench if you use a composite gasket?

it would be a .045 quench vs a .065 quench...
