Just a quick thank you to all that have been nice enough to answer my questions so I could get my car back on the road again. It's been down and out for 13 years and I just decided enough was enough and it was time to go together.

We'll be doing alot of modifications in the near future so I'll be asking alot more questions I'm sure!!

Here's a pic of where we started 2 months ago.........

Scott,

I'm very impressed with your car.........I used info on your site for what size front tires I needed........you helped me out and didn't even know it.......lol

TC,

I had alot of help from my parents, girlfriend and alot of good friends plus pure luck to help pull all this together........if it was just me I'd still be stuck in the garage......

Scott,

I ended up finally going with a 205/75/15 Uniroyal Tiger Paw on a 15x5 Weld Superlite.........I wanted to use the same size you have at first but I needed a little more height since I chopped the front springs too far. It's easier to change tires than springs when you're pressed for time......... graemlins/clonk.gif

I'm planning to change over to the HAL coil over setup shortly.

In the rear, I'm running a 28x13.50 ET Street on a 15x10 rim.

As for the motor, she's just a 396 right now.......The car will be going in the shop in early January to get a cage update and at that time I'll be dropping in a 580 making 850 hp that's sitting underneath my bench right now.

Looking for 9's on motor and 8's on some spray.......... :D

If you don't mind me asking, what wheel well mods/wheel backspacing etc did you have to do to fit those meats on the back?
I know Scott had to mod his 70 to do it, same reqired mods?

Jeremy,

My bodyman took a year and two months to do my car.......and the paint is only so so. We did cut the back half off the car and graft in a full trunk and rear tail since it wasn't available at the time.......as for the motor, it shouldn't be long.......car is going into the shop for cage updates, exhaust and some other stuff at the beginning of 2004........I'll keep everyone posted.......

Craig,

My car is using a 15x10 Superlite with 5.5 rear spacing and a 28x13.50 ET Street. It's tight and rubs slightly but the only mods I've done to the body was rolling the outter fender lip. With a little finessing by adjusting the body slightly and some slight inner fender work it will fit without any problem. I'll be doing some of that when I drop in the new rear and before the car goes for chassis work....... if you have any other questions please let me know........!!
