I need help with where to plug in the wiring harness under the dash! I have a brand new console, new wiring harness for the console and the wiring harness extension. The extension plugs into the console then it looks like it is supposed to plug into the fuse block? I have been all up under the dash and cannot see any place to plug the harness into! Please help!

The console extension harness has two or three plugs on it (2 for manual, 3 for auto).
All of these plug into the under dash harness. Two connectors have two pins, the Neutral safety (large purple wires) and the back up light (green and pink wires). If you added the console then these are probably still plugged in to the NSF/Backup light switch on the steering column. The third connector has 3 pins and would plug into the mating connector on the under dash harness in the same area as the neutral safety and back up connectors are. This is for the courtesy(Orange wire and White wire) and dash lights (grey wire). If you car did not come from the factory with console then your underdash harness will not have this connector. You can add it or just splice into exisitng wires. If your cosole is a four speed there will not be a grey wire. For the grey wire just use the terminal on the fuse block labeled "lps". The orange wire is battery power, tap into lighter or clock or glove box orange wire or use the bat terminal on the fuse block. The white wire is from either door jamb switch, it provides the ground to turn on the dome and courtesy lights.

Thank you so much for the information! It was a column shift car switched to floor and I wound up splicing the wires just like you wrote. Thank you! Now I am on a quest to find out what kind of bulbs I need and where to buy them. I cannot belive that you spend that much money on a new "COMPLETE" console, then buy the wire "KITS", and the fine print says bulbs not included. Thanks for the help!

I made some incorrect statements about the diff between manual and auto. BOTH have 3 connectors, the only difference is the manual does not have the grey wire for dash lights. Sorry about the misinformation. Glad you got it hooked up.

Well I did it again. The manual console only has ONE under dash connector for the rear courtesy light. There is no NSS or Backup in the manual tranny console.
