I dont really have a guess on how fast, and I am not the most knowledgable in this department, but wouldn't you want a lower coverter due to the 540 will not rev as high, and you want a converter to keep it in its max power range? Just a suggestion, maybe one of the more knowledgable guys will chime in and give you a more definate answer.

F-A-S-T... but as mentioned, you'll need to dial the gears and converter into the engine better, as it appears well above the useable powerband. With such a small cam, I'd think you'd ET better with 3.50 gearset and 3500 stall.

Whoa! Sorry, which 502LUN camshaft?

I like the gears, 4.10's are perfect with a 28" tall tire 6000 at the stripe, less converter, maybe 4-4200 for starters. It ought to run low 11's,might sneak a high 10 with those stock heads.

I would say 10.60. There are a few items I would change, but 10.60 once dialed in.

Our 69 camaro weighing in at 3500+ lbs has a 534" in it.
Compression is 10.0-1 93 octane only, tried race gas when playing with timing, but runs quicker on pump gas.
Dart 325 heads 255 @ .050 cam
The converter flashes to 5200.
3.73 gears.

Friday night it ran 10.17 ET spinning with a 1.49 60 ft.
Had we matched our best ever 1.39 60 ft the car would have posted a 9.97 ET (guesstimating)

So with enough cam and the right converter along with some decent traction I`d say your car would run low 10.40`s high 10.30`s

It might go 10s but the compression is too low. If you up it to about 10.8-11 to 1 it would be a lot quicker and faster. I agree that the converter is too loose. Go back to a nine inch, tight converter and it shouldn't run out of RPM. Which Lunati cam do you have? Is 502 the begining of the cam part number?

was looking at lunati's new 502A5 lun roller-designed by harrold-I think it is 255-263-50deg-685-680-lift!

The cam we use is an Ultradyne still available through Lunati.

Single pattern, 255 @.050 .650 lift on 110 sep.
It`s a Hyd roller btw.

Would also run larger carb for a 540! What percentage street/strip will you be running the car? I like your .680 cam idea but the cr is to low for that! Anyway of bumping cr up to 11! Street would be ok with 850dp but with above ideas could go 950hp or even a 1050! Could be easily low 10sec car! Goodluck! :D
