I was thinkin about runnin a comp cams hyd roller cam in a 406 I was buildin. Is there any major mods that have to be done to use one? Do I need any special parts? What about pushrods, anything special?

not sure of all you already have, so beyond the cam and lifters. pushrods, possible springs to match. (makes sure there set up with the right clearance as well) maybe even valves if it a really high lift cam. maybe roller rockers, polylocks, and a stud girdle is really nice. depending on how old the timing chain is) may need that. cam button, and possible a heavy duty timing cover (Not sure here) gaskets, oil, and if ive forgot anything im sure someone will let you know. about a 1200$ dollar deal. The roller I use requires a bronze distributor gear drive. If you intend on using a mechanical fuel pump, pay attention to the fuel pump push rod required for the cam. They say that should be bronze also. I believe you'll need a cam button timing cover to prevent "cam walk". Comp makes a 2 piece timing cover with at comes with a button.
