sat. was busy, i had to have my taxes done, and some other stuff. i drove by a little muffler shop i've done business with for years, i actually passed it several times, he had nobody in the bay, and nobody in the parking lot, i figure a good time (11:30a.m.) to pop in and throw some $ at him, to put duals on the 63. i pull in, he says, "nice ride", i thank him and ask if he can throw some duals on it? he just says "no".
puzzled i ask why? he says "i'm open from 9-5 mon-fri, sat. appts only". this guy has been open all morning without one customer, and he turns me away.
i pull next door (midas) and they fall all over themselves helping me out. i don't usually like going to big chains, i always throw my $ at mom & pop places, if i can, but that just left a bad taste in my mouth.
so i have the duals on, and the satin torque d's will be on friday. now i'm trying to decide between three dueces, or one four barrel. i'm kind of confused, i'm not used to driving a car that didn't take several years to finish. this car has a lot of little issues, but nothing that would take it off the street. i have to tell you, driving your project for me, is more fun than waiting years to have enough $ to get it on the road. plus i was approached several times saturday, with not only compliments, but two stout offers. big smile for me...
