Does anyone know what brand of rocker stud has the longer end that screws into the head?In a post last week we were talking about how to keep the rocker bosses from breaking and someone said to use the after market stud that had the longer end. Also do you use them on the intake and exhaust? It seems that the only ones that need done are the ones with the tall boss. And also do the bosses need to be drilled deeper to make these work and do they need to be heli coiled? Thanks Bill

William, they double helicoiled mine and used the extra long stud set from ARP on the exhaust bosses. They are specifically designed for exactly this. If you can't find them, you can call Carl McQuillen Racing Engines in Leroy NY 585-768-2322. I know they have some in stock. Sorry I don't have a p/n, maybe it's # 235-7306 here...I do recall the threaded length is 1.5"+

Thanks,I will order a set of 235-7206 for the exhaust.Should I get a set of the 235-7204 studs for the intake or is it a waste of money for my street motor?
