Dear Team Chevelle,
Thanks a bunch for the Welcome greetings Wide, Oldtime, Chuck, VMX, Freddy, and Jonh. I have limited computer time so I'll probably just get acquainted with the site for a couple months. I've a 69 two door coupe. When I bought it from the original owner as a young jarhead back in 1978 it had the complete SS markings in and out. But I 'tried' to research the VIN and what I learned is that it is NOT SS. It came with a 396 but the tranny was a Saginaw 3 on the tree converted to a floor shifter. It has a bench seat also instead of buckets. But it is basically a sound rust-free car. It hasn't been on the street since 1986 and has 68,000 miles on it. Right now I'm just looking for a body rotisserie for it. So I hope to be around for a few years. LOL. Thanks again, Thomas.
