So San Diego is the #1 place to visit? That's nice, but I'd rather LIVE where I do in Middleton WI :))

I live in a small tourist town in Alaska and you would not believe all the people who come here in the summer. It's like night and day between winter and summer.

been to Seward back in 1978, was at Elmendorf AFB from 78-late 80.
I loved it there in Alaska, tho i didn't see many muscle cars at that time.
Great little town!

We've got a couple of your old ferry boats out here now. The Rachael Marie and the Mellissa Ann. Don't know if you're familiar with them or not. They still have Seward as their homeport. :)

They must like it here, because they never seem to want to do back :D

I can't figure out what the draw is for San Diego. I travel here quite a bit. Downtown, La Jolla, Old Town, Mission Bay; "I've been everywhere man". I guess it's the diversity. It's not warm enough for me though. Way too chilly, fog, overcast. Traffic blows. Hotel rates are stupid high. Beer is expensive. Mexico is way too close. Housing is expensive. Upside: Naval base. Miramar. I would say this place is NOT a place a terrorist should be messing with :D . Maybe that security weighs heavily on people here or coming here to visit :disco:

Oh well, Fresno only tops the list of "Metro Areas with Worst Pollution". I don't know what's better, an area where "partner" doesn't mean business partner, or choking on smog?

We don't even get ferry service anymore, they moved everthing to Homer. Even the Tustimena is'nt homeported here anymore. We get plenty of cruise ships though.

Isn't it dark for something like 23 hours a day in winter? So, summer is like night and day, where winter is like night and mostly night...:D

No, not here thats north of the arctic circle. We get about four hours of daylight on the shortest day. On the longest day we only have four hours of dark, it's weird because you'll have kids outside playing at 1:00 am. I did three years in San Diego and it was way too crowed, too much traffic and too hot for me. I did find my rust free chevelle there though. I'll stick to my mountains.
