Anyone used one of these or have any opinions about them? It's seems to be the same as a performer dualplane but with raised runners air can get around, seems like it would be very easy to put an ice pack in the gap between runs ect
Just curious, the idea makes sense and they're cheap...

Great intake, great idea...just make sure there is not water left on the intake when you get to the lanes,if they see ya leaking anything, out ya go. I still run the old style performer RPM,no difference in performance as long as you put a heatshield in the lifter valley of the old style intake.

Yeah, I know you can't leak I'd figure out some way to keep any liquid at bay, for the price it seems like a good deal
I think i might go for it if my brother or someone wants my performer, that'd cover nearly half to cost of the new one anyway

There have been a couple of people on this board that have done testing on the track with this manifold and not noticed any gains. A neat piece for sure, but I don't see a need for it if you do what Rapid Robert said, or if you're trying to squeeze every last bit of performance out of the motor. Just my $0.02

Summit doesn't list height, is it the same as regular performer?
I have a ton of clearence right now with my SS hood, I can see over the top of my air cleaner through the cowl, I'm about to go up to a 4in filter and non drop base and I bet i still have 2in clearance...I could keep the drop base if i needed too
