Well made 3 passes today and the air was great. The track was packed and had some 7 and 8 second cars there so they were trying to prep the track really good.

Best of the day:

60 ft: 1.85 graemlins/thumbsup.gif
1/8: 8.02
Mph: 88.20
1/4: 12.47 graemlins/thumbsup.gif
MPH: 110

I ran a 12.55@110 before that one. I about crapped my pants when I got the slip. I was Hoping, wishing for a 12.7 max, but it worked out even better lol.
I removed my air filter which seemed to help a lot. Also change my launch technique and kinda left at 1/4 throttle then after I got moving punched it and it seemed to hook a lot better. Also last time I went it was 85 degrees and my car was 200-210 at the starting line. Today I was 185-190 and I think this was the biggest factor.

Man I love my 3.08 non posi Old chevy iron heads haha.

Oh ya on that last pass I lost to a snowmobile LMAO thing ran a 10.05@134

AAAHH!!! Damnit, I should have checked again. Bah, I wanted to get at least one freakin' run in this year. I spent all summer working on my g/f's 72 Nova.

I'm thinking of trucking down to PIR next weekend. If my fuel pump is in I probably will given good weather.

Nice pass. It looks to me you have even better ETs ahead. At Tucson a couple weeks ago in 5500' air I ran 12.24 at 110 mph. You should be able to get at least that. Also, notice that you gained almost 22 mph in the last half. That is excellent. The car is pulling strong at the big end. Which car were you driving, Brad?

Removing the air cleaner and gaining power, tells you that your exisitng A/C is too small or restrictive. The air cleaner is one place where bigger truly is better smile.gif .

Thanks Pat, This was in the Nova as the chevelle is a work in progess right now.

With the 3.08s I am crossing the finish line at 5200-5300. I have my shift light set at 6100 so by the time I shift with reaction I am shifting around 62-6300 rpms. So I got some more room on the top end.

I am running a cheapy summit 2" dro base air cleaner since thats the only thing I can fit under my hood with it closing. I have a team G intake with a edelbrock fuel pressure bracket plate thats maybe a 1/4" thick and a 700 double pumper. timing is 18 initial and 35 total. I havn't even messed with jets yet.

The track doesn't have scales unfortanly I am guessing the car to weigh around 3500 with me in it.
