The guy that painted my chevelle painted the area below the windshield, the color of the car. I have noticed since then that alot of them are painted black and then the body color down the sides where the fenders mount. I have seen a couple that were painted the body color too tho. Which is correct? I don't have the car together yet, so it would be easy enough to fix now. Thanks

My 70 is painted body color, but it's not correct. It should be 30% gloss black. Mine has been like that for 8 years now. I might decide to fix that when I pull the hood to pull the engine this winter.
