is it ok if i mounted my vacuum canister on the drivers side of the car in between the fenderwell and the radiator shroud? this means i will have to run about 2 feet of rubber hose to my power brake booster and my carburetor. will this affect how much vacuum i pull? do i have to mount it closer to the booster?

I`ve always seen them mounted on the driver side fender well as close to the booster as possible. Rubber line swells so you don`t want to run alot of it as it "could" affect your vacuum. I tried running straight rubber line for my tranny years ago and it didn`t work out too well.

Dont use rubber, use teflon lined hose and it will be fine or use steel line with rubber hose at both ends.
