I am having trouble with my horn working. so today I take of the wheel and I was looking at the contacts when the Black ring shot off. The little C clip came off because I don't think it was seated well. My problem is two fold. One how do I get the spring compressed and two were do I get the contact the touches the steering wheel and the brass contact ring in the column?

I figured out a way to get the plate back on, I just need to figure out what parts I need to make the horn work.
I am not sure what year the Column is out of, it is possible that it is a 69, the car is a 70. The wheel is out of a late model Camaro I belive. I have attached a few pictures to see if you guys have any ideas. I know i am missing some kind of contact. There are pictures of the Coulmn and of the wheel. please help, I would realy like to get the horns working.

Is this (http://www.yearone.com/serverfiles/fbshopmain2.asp?cat=0) it? can I just buy the contact? Or do I need something else?

I would call year one's technical support and ask them, they are very helpful
Do you have the connector that locks into the canceling cam here?

Not sure but I would try my local GM dealer first.

Agreed, that is always the best place to start.
You might be suprized at what they might have.
It might be a good time to replace the tun signal switch as well.

Pep Boys and Autozone both have steering column parts IN STOCK! I couldn't believe it when I went in there last time for fuses. Out of all places...
