Okay guys I got a question. We purchased a 72 u coded convertible 2 years ago and the car is pretty much all original, (top, some of the interior and all the sheet metal except the hood. The motor is a CE replacement that the original owner had installed under warranty after he toasted the first one. The car has been painted one time and the door jambs trunk and under hood area was masked off very hard to tell but it is there. But whoever did the stripes did them wrong, way too far apart. Is it worth it to redo the stripes or just leave them. The hood was replaced with the motor something went wrong and it got destroyed. Thats why there is no hood pins. Here is a couple of pics beside our 70, with the car alone its not that obvious but beside another car well. Just looking for opinions. Sorry for the spelling little girl is helping me.

I agree the stripes are to far apart - but then again it makes your Chevelle unique. Love the Convertible ---- Love the 72!!!

Beautiful car, but MAN those stripes jump out that they're too far apart. (To me anyways).

Aside from shows, most people probly wont know the difference.

Nice ride just the same.

Its sad to say we didnt notice it either when we bought the car, we had a on time chance at the car and we know the original owner of the car so we knew the history of the car and well not saying it want worth it but kinda makes a little less appealing to me also. But what can u say for a car that is 35 years old and has the original top lol. Just looking to see if it is worth having it repainted because of it. It is a hard decision.

I think I'd repaint it/them

I agree with Dan, Jamie. On a side note...WHAT A STABLE OF CARS YOU HAVE! I'd love to see some more pictures or even in person. So much paper work too. I'm WAY jealous!
