Does anyone have safeco collector ins? Will they do an agreed with an appraisal? I currently have hagerty, but either I am getting ins where I can drive this car to the store for 10 min or to work on a Sat morning in the lowest crime area in WI, or I am selling it and getting a C6. I am sick of having a garage ornament.

I'm not sure there is really any collector car insurance that says its ok to drive to work. Every decent collector car insurance co will have provisions for pleasure driving.

I have Safeco ins on my 70, and every thing else for that matter.
The policy is based on appraised/agreed value. Driving is limited to 2500 miles/year, must be garage kept, and supposed to be for shows and cruises, but allows for general driving as long as its not to and from work daily and "grocery shopping". Check with a local agent. I have been very satisfied with them over the years. I've had one claim on the 70, it was hit on the way to get an alignment done, no further questions asked. (I really was taking it in for that purpose) I have also had 2 claims on my 06 Durango, 1 on our 03 Odyssey, and 2 on my 91 nissan pick-up, with one homeowner claim. My rates haven't been affected by these claims and they handled everything.

I have safeco ins on my 70. No mileage restrictions, no appraisal needed, just photos, can drive anywhere, anytime, 25k stated value for 300/yr. Full comp and collision. Hit a deer last summer and they covered it under comprehensive portion of policy. Sent me the check without looking at it. I recommend it. Just got my renewal and no increase in price.
