Hi everyone, just wanted to post up some pics of the progress of my built.

Im building a 70 Coupe frame up. I pulled the body off the car, stripped the frame, and had it all powdercoated. Im using a full air ride setup front and rear, currie 9 inch, wilwood breaks, sc&c upper a arms, custom transcrossmember to allow for ls2 and 4l80e trans, 20/22 budnik gasser d wheels, and nitto tires.

Here are some pics for you.

Verry pretty. That front sway bar is huge!

So what exactly is going on with the added metal on the frame? The trans will have two attacheing point - on the sides and at the tailshaft?

The extra metal was used because we boxed in the frame rails then added a custom transmission mount. The tubing you see attached to the frame also has mounting tabs on each side that a removeable crossmember will bolt to. you can see the crossmember in the picture with all the parts laying out.

The LCA and Swaybar are both Air Ride Technologies Pieces.

Thanks for the explanation. The very first picture is what threw me off. Seeing the crossmember in the other picture helped clue me in. I too intend to box my frame, but am going to weld in some nut-plates over the existing cross member holes and order a replacement cross member piece. I hope you have enough room for routing your exhaust under the added metal. It looks like the outter crossmember bolts do not have bushings, so at least those wont get cooked.

Here is an image of the new end link were are using. We call them PosiLinks. They will elimnate all of the flex you will see with the poly bushings give you a more "positive" feel. Plus they look bitchin!
