: What to do first?

Got some sheetmetal for my 68 goat project, now I'm not too sure which piece should go in first. So far I have the trunk dropoff and a patch for the inner wheelwell. I also have a left 1/3 trunk floor coming at this time. What order do these need to go in to ensure everything lines up?

Can I start now or should I wait for that trunk floor to show up?

I'd wait until you get all of it (especially before you start cutting).

OK, I guess I kind of figured that. So what order do I replace them in? Floor first, then inner wheelwell and then trunk dropoff? That seems the most logical to me at this point anyway. THEN quarter skin/outer wheelhouse.

I'm not an expert by any means so perhaps one of them will chime in here with a different suggestion.

With that caveat out of the way, you mentioned you have an inner wheelhouse patch. I'm not exactly sure where the area you're going to patch is, but if the trunk floor fits up against any part of the patch, I'd suggest installing that first prior to installing the trunk floor.

Yes, the inner wheelhouse patch will attach to the trunk, it is the lower rear wheelhouse that is shot. I will need to remove the spotwelds to see if the wheelhouse behind the trunk flange is shot too.
