I've got a very nice '68 bench seat that a friend is interested in geting from me. What we need to know is whether the headrests from a '70-'72 are able to be mounted in this seat. It has none now, although they were an option in '68. Is there some framework in there that can be used? If not, how hard is it to adapt the headrests to the seat? I'm driving the car now, so I can't scatter the seat to look. All replies appreciated. SSuper Dave

According to my Chevy interchange book the 68 and 70-72 seat frames are not interchangable, not to say the whole 68 seat will not bolt in, but I do not think the 70 head rests will fit on the 68. The book clearly indicates the backrest is a differnt frame.
