I need help from some of you Oklahoma boys concerning the dollar amounts listed on OK titles.
On copies of prior titles that I got from the State of OK, there is a box “Total Delivered (Excise)” with the amount of $4,150.00. Then in a box labeled “Factory Delivered Price” is $2,665.00. Am I correct in my assumption that the $2,665 was the base price including transportation, and the $4,150 is the price with all options? (I do think there is a typo in the Factory Price in that the $2,665 is $100 short of what Chevrolet lists as the base price of a Malibu V8 and the transportation charges as shown on a window sticker posted on Dale’s website.) And thanks again to Dale and a prior posting; I received my 1969 Chevelle restoration package from Chevrolet. I am trying to back into the options using the pricing sheets from Chevrolet that were included in the restoration package.

If my assumption is correct, then within $2.15, my car was built as follows:
13637 Malibu V-8 $2,673
Transportation $92.25
Tinted Glass $36.90
Strato Bucket Seats $121.15
Head Restraints $16.90 (I thought they were standard equipment)
4-Season A/C $376.00
Center Console $53.75
Turbo Hydra-Matic $221.80
Power Steering $105.35
AM radio $61.10
SS Equip $347.60
RWL Tires $26.25
HD Battery $15.80
Total $4,147.85

Sitting here with the OK Title for my C6. Nothing on it as to value or purchased price. Looks like if I "assign" the title to another person there is a blank for "Actual Purchase Price of Vehicle" and that's it. This a fairly new title, only a few months old. I seem to remember the old ones had all the values on them (back in the day). I have 3 current titled vehicles in Ok and none of the titles have either the sale price or current value on them. Just the usual VIN, mileage at registration and date of registration, name, address, etc. There is also an open space to list lien info, thankfully mine are blank.

Oldest current OK title I have now is 2001 and all those figures are gone. I have a copy of a 'new' title I had to get for another 67 I had dated 1998 and it did have an F.D. price and a T.D. price listed (both the same) so apparently sometime between 9/98 and 9/01 they did away with these.

If memory serves (and it may not) the cost of registration was based on the original value of the car for a long time. It still is today but to a lesser extent with age playing a part.

I've found differences in listed prices and those actually charged on a number of year's base prices and options. Changes in excise taxes has an effect. The 2 69 stickers I have show $2673 before destination charges. Factory Price in that the $2,665 is $100 short of what Chevrolet lists as the base price of a Malibu V8.Not sure where these figures come from but I can offer the following as an example of differences. The pricing for a base 1966 13817 SS coupe is listed in one Chevrolet document as $2598 yet two window stickers (mid Nov, 1965 from KC and a mid Apr, 1966 from Fremont) show a base price of $2776 before destination charges; big difference. ;)

Thanks for the info. My current OK title was issued in 1980. I also like the way Oklahoma keeps the original title number but adds an alpha suffix.

That is a nifty feature...my dad's Vette is titled in my name and it is a D title...he is the 4th owner...
