I don't own any of those computer toys...but I'll guess mid 12's for an e.t....400/425 hp/tq...just a wild guess graemlins/waving.gif

I came up with 393 hp from 5000-5500 and falls off around 6000. 439 lb-ft at 3500-4000. I came up with over 400 lb-ft from 2000 through 5000. your combo is similar to mine. I just have a stock crank, comp 270h, non air gap, and 170cc WP s/r torquers 2.02/1.60, stock stall and 2.73 8.5" 10 bolt. the power curve was very broad and flat too. graemlins/thumbsup.gif

I'd sure like to test and tune with you man, I'm over here in L.A., and have pretty much the same set up as you do. Only differece is that I've got a .488" lift, a holley 750 vac sec., and 1 3/4" Hedman headers. So far I've run a best of 8.80@79mph at Irwindale, and that was with it needing a tune up real bad, and the original stock fuel pump that came with my 307ci. I was told that I should be pusing around 420hp or so at the flexplate, so I'd imagine u should be around there somewhere. graemlins/thumbsup.gif

LXS, your Irwindale performance will translate into ~ 13.8 e.t. @ 100 mph in the 1/4 - provided that your 307 fuel pump keeps up.

Tuned right with traction should easily run mid 12's. Might run out of rpm with the short tire.

No mid 12's.

unless your a lot higher above sea leavel than I think, I don't see why you cant run mid 12's. I'm knocking on 11.99's door with less motor.

Marty, I have no doubt that YOU could get his car into the mid 12's. The spectator in me says that usually the question of "how much power, what e.t." is asked by those who have not made many dragstrip passes, not that there is anything wrong with curiosity about how your car may stack up against others.

Just pouring certain parts ingredients into the mix is not enough - it still depends on HOW you cook it that matters. Making power is one important part - getting it to the ground with a well tuned engine and suspension setup is another.

In the end he will still need to actually run it at the drags, doesn't matter what anybody else could do with the same general combo. "Stock bodied" usually means no real suspension work or tuning has been done. Even if some suspension has been upgraded, it is a lucky man that gets it exactly right the first time.

Putting us all to shame in the performance department are the stock class racers who do more with less on a regular basis. Yes, their cars are purpose built one dimensional machines - but what can you say about a 350 CID "stocker" that runs deep into the 10's at ~ 130 mph except WOW!

Bomber, thats why I said with the right tune and traction. I have removed some weight from my car but it still weighs 3380 with me in it. My race car chassis amounts to a set of old fashion slapper bars. Stock racers are the ones I study the most, the weekend racer can learn more from these guys than the tube chassis or dragster guys. Mid 12's, I feel, can be had with his set up in good air and high 12's in the heat. I have no idea what kind of tuner anyone here is, all I can do is compare the combo to my car and my ET's and see the potential or something to work for.

Thomas Yeah, my Virtual Engine Calculator says I should be running a 13.73@99mph. I know that's being really optimistical, but with the right fuel system, taking some weight off my car, not to mention myself ;) , upgraded suspension, I believe I can easily hit the 13.50s, if not maybe even really low 13."teens" ....here's to optimism! graemlins/beers.gif
