What CR range is it suitable for?
What is its rpm range?
These questions apply to a 207 V6.
Thanks.

Glenn1018,

I generally use it in 8.00 to 9.5:1 CR engines, and it puts good torque into them.
The RPM range is from idle to 6000, with peak power being around 5200 to 5400. I have customers who use the 256F in extremely heavy boats(350 SBC), and they claim it gives a big increase over the cams that Mecury Marine, etc, use.
A 207 V6 is identical in cylinder capacity to a 276-cid V8, and the 256F would have been considered a "3/4" cam in the 1950's-1960's...
A 276/284F10 makes about 430 BHP at 6200 in a 9.2:1 355. The 256F should make in excess of 360 to maybe 375 BHP, in the same 355.
The 256F should make at least 210 to 220 BHP in your 207......

Thanks for the details, Harold.

I've tried to find the 256F on the Lunati site, but haven't been able to.

I saw your number and extension at Lunati in another thread and wrote it down.

I'll be calling when the time comes.
