A 4-door 1973 Chevelle:hurray:, now here comes the big question, do i have a 305 or a 307 in my car:clonk:? I'we think I figured out i have a 307 but Im not shure. Any one that can confirm it ?

Should be a 307. The 305 didn't come out until the late 70's

Assuming it was never swapped out. If you post the casting numbers located on the back of the engine behind the distributor just above the transmission bellhousing. Also if you can see the stampings on the engine pad, located just in front of the cylinder head on the right side of the motor as you are looking at the front of the motor. If you go to http://mortec.com/ you will get lots of pictures and drawings and charts to figure out what engien you have.

No tag under the hood or on the radiator support area?

On the right side where the head bolts to the block there is a ledge about 3/4" wide that has small numbers stamped into the metal you may have to scrape some paint to find it
