As I have been sucked into these mindless debates on Clone Vs. Original that truly serve no purpose I have begun to realize where the class acts in this site are. They reside among those who stay away from these discussions. Being a member for less than a year I have called on a lot of people for tech and car buying help and some maybe to the point of being a nusciance. There are many others who are in this group I am going to call out but it will be Dale and Mike specifically.

There are not any two guys here with more passion about correctness and originality. But that is secondary to being a car guy. When asked for help it never got to be an issue of what it is or isn't, it was always about the particular car and how it fit me and approximation of value. Never was it you ain't this if you do not own this. For this I am grateful.

I have now realized that I need to recognize their example. Being passionate about certain cars is great but when it crosses the line and you start criticizing someone who does not share the same philosophy about a car as you do it will never serve any purpose. Guys thanx for showing me enough has become enough.

Guys like Dale,Mike,Brad,Mark,John,and so many others have been so gracious to me it is now time to go back to why I enjoy all of this so much: The Cars All of Them.

Aye aye! When I had my 66 & 67's, they were always there for me too. Their knowledge, and friendliness is what helps makes this site so great. You would be hard pressed to find better folks.

You're right about the guys you mentioned and I met another one through TC, Ray Barnes. We've become pretty good friends. He is absolutely anal about correctness on his 69 SS but never trashes anybody elses car, he could tear mine to pieces. He can spot a fake 100' feet away but won't say a word. Guess that's why we get along so well, his car is factory correct and mine isn't even close but they're both Chevelles and it's all good.
