Hello all,
I am looking for suggestions about front shocks for my 1970 SS Chevelle with a 454 LS-7.
The car will be used 90% street, 10% strip.
I'm not looking to spend a mint, but I would like something that offers a decent ride around town. I take it easy around corners also.
I don't know if it will matter, but the front rims are 5".

Thanks,
Adrian

KYB gets my vote

And I recommend "anything but KYB" ;)

Assuming you're using stock springs I'd go with Bilstein if you can afford them, and Monroe if you can't. :)

Another vote for Bilstein. Why replace your shocks twice?

I like Bilstein regular everyday shocks.

I have plain old Monroe shocks on my 70. They've been on there for 8 years now, no complaints.

they still make lakewood 70-30's that work decent on bb-cars..... :)

Thanks for the suggestions.

I just ordered some Monroes. It will be a while before I can post the actual results.

Thanks again,
Adrian
