Congrats John,

I'll have to see if I can dig up a copy locally.

Lots of great cars in the TC community getting magazine coverage and John's is one excellent example.

Congrats John! :beers:

They messed up and did not print a pic of you hanging the hoops! :D

My favorite part of the article is "Getting so much weight down the track in such little time is one of of the baddest small-blocks you'll ever encounter". How cool is that?

Another car from "North Texas Chevelles" in print!!! WooHooo!!!

Since the pictures werent taken at the track, you should have "borrowed" one from Scott Singletons pictures of a wheels up launch for the mag!
Yea the car is super cool, you gotta see it in person;)
but most importantly it RUNS

Thanks, fellas! :beers:

As I was explaining to Dave today on the phone today, after finding the magazine while on vacation, I was flying high (got to take a vacation AND found my car in the mag) only to have my 4yo OES pass away yesterday. Really knocked the wind right outta me.

Sorry about the dog John.
It's like losing a favorite member of the family.
What happened? He or she was so young.

Chris, he (Harry) was plagued with constant respiratory infections secondary to a weak immune system. To look at him you would think he was healthy, typically weighed between 100-105lbs, but genetically his immune system was flawed. Repetitive antibiotic therapy final gave rise to a resistant bug that did him in. Sepsis set in fast and it was over.

Good luck finding one. I still haven't found one locally. I found my copies at a Walmart between Vancouver and Whistler, BC. The local Kroger still has the old copy on the shelf. The pics were taken pre-wheelstanditits. :D I was actually contacted 1/1/07 by Stephen Kim. Through downtime, delays, and schedule differences it's taken this long to get it done.

Sorry about the dog John.

Thanks, Frank.

On a bright note, my 5yo said she could just wave her magic wand and bring him back. If only...........

John,

I found some copies tonight at the local Wal-Mart. Nice article and pictures. Let me know if you'd like an extra copy or two and I'll swing buy and pick some more up and drop 'em off next time I'm down.

John, sorry to hear about your loss. Its amazing how the mind of a child works, so pure and sweet. On the other hand congrats on the magazine exposure. I found my copy at Hastings book store, it was the last copy they had. The "Chevelle Chevys Mid Size Muscle" is put out by Super Chevy.

Also, sorry to hear about the loss of Harry. People without pets can't imagine the impact of these "family" members.

Guys, thanks again. I just went to the supermarket after running out of gas while grilling some poke-chops :clonk: and sure enough the mag had finally hit the shelf. I swear Houston must be the last place to get this stuff. :pout:
