Starter gear for a good running small block or a 427 BB:yes::yes:

Try a 5.86, ran that in my 68 Z/28, 2nd gear at the tree, high gear at the 1/8 mile, out the back at over 7K, major fun:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I ran 4.56 in two cars, a 56 chevy and a 68 Camaro for total of 8 years on the streets/strip WAY back, while most everyone else was running 4.11, 4.88, 5.08. Would never do it again for street use, BUT, was a kick in the ass back then..

we had 4.56,s in my 71 SS454 when Ifirst got it in 88 from my friend,Tim O"brein.He got it from a guy that just raced it at Englishtown.Side window was full of Englishtown winner decals for alot of years.Tim drove it on the street like that for several years,back and forth to college and around town.I drove it like that for a couple years then started putting the car back to stock.Quick but nothing for the street.That is why my chevelle only has 37,500 miles on it
