Hey guys, well I have seen some people suggest to use colder plugs? What does that mean exactly? Are the plugs actually hotter? What's the advantage or disadvantage to a colder plug? Can they be used on any motor?

Thanks!

Pat Kelley tells ya what ya need right there.

It has to do with how things burn, how your Air/Fuel is, and how much power you make, N/A, Forced, N20... etc.

Colder plugs will help with detonation. You can use a colder plug on any motor, but if you don't have problems with detonation, then there really isn't much point.

there is no power to be found in plugs. That said, the wrong plug can cost power. In higher CR engines colder plugs retain less heat and reduce the chances of preignition. Too cold of a plug will foul.
