Hello
Check and see which one is on the car now and replace it with the same.It should be a short pump for that year but over time you don't know what someone might done to the engine, modified or replaced with a later year.

Stock 67's had short pumps but yours has an engine swap so could be either. If there's about a 1/2" space between the pump and timing cover its long. A short pump almost/will be touching the cover. Long pumps normally have the alternator on the right side and short the left. Good luck!

The accessory brackets (alt,PS,etc.) and lower pulley are matched to pump style. I've heard some use the long pump but don't know what hoops they jump through to do it. Do you have a choice if you want it to look original?

It does if you have any of the alternator, ps, AC brackets for the 70 engine you bought. Big blocks up thru 68 used short wp and alt. was on drivers side. 69 and up big blocks use long wp and alt was on pass. side.

Hi
Just a thought, because your engine came out of a Corvette you don't need to get a water pump for a Corvette. The Corvette water pumps use a 3/4 piolt shaft and all other water pumps use a 5/8 piolt so you might want figure out your pulley and bracket setup before you buy a pump.Almost all aftermarket pulleys use the 5/8 shaft.

Your electrical harness is likely setup for a drivers side alternator, or at least that is how it left the factory.

You can run a LWP and keep the alternator on the DS using brackets from Alan Grove Components.

There is no difference in function between SWP and LWP. There are more cars out there with LWP so somewhat more options in aftermarket parts. Still very possible to do all SWP brackets/pulleys though.

Another consideration is that your engine compartment will get much more cramped by a LWP than it will a SWP. I currently have a LWP in a '68 and am in the process of converting back to SWP to I can run a larger electric fan.

BTW, BBC Vettes continued to use SHORT WPs after 1968

You need to use a short pump in the 67. There isn't enough room for the fan to clear the radiator with a long pump, unless you go to dual electric fans like Alumitech sells.
