Which ones are the good ones and which ones are the not so good. I know there's one that has a suspect lifter bore alignment? (do I remeber that right?) Anyhow any info ro references would be greatly appreciated. I go to look at the one I'm thinking about today after work.

The older the block the better. Try and find a "289" casting block, made from 1972 to 1975..last 3 numbers of casting # are 289.
