I'm 61 and 1968 was the only year that I didn't have a Chevelle or Beaumont since 1966. I bought our 427 car new in '69 when I was 23 and I still feel like 23 when I get behind the wheel one of our cars today. The mind is still 23, the body has just slipped a little. ;)

Too bad alot of you guys didnt have the pleasure of seeing alot of these cars on the showroom floors. New 66 SS sticker was around 3400.oo.Back then you could buy a 50 acre farm in Ohio for not a whole lot more,was alot of money.

64..... Bought a 68 327 4-spd new. Sold it after our first kid. Wished I still had it. Have had a 66 malibu and a 67 ss396. Presently have a 64 with a 402 and 350 trans.

I'm 35.:secret: I've had my chevelle since I was 23. I think I was 21 when I bought my first chevelle. My husband is 39 and counting:p. He has only had his current chevelle for about 2 years but he bought his first one when he was 17.

I have owned the black cherry car for almost 7 years now and I had my 4 speed Canadian built 70 SS396 for 10 years before I sold it.I miss that car.

I'm 39, Had 2 El Caminos a 68 SS 396 and a 74 Classic, A 75 Malibu ( my first car )68 olds cutlass S, 69 prostreet nova, 65 Impala ( Still have it ) and my 70 Chevelle. Been a car nut since my early teens. MY uncle had a 70 chevelle ss 396 when I was a young lad. Will allways remember being in the backseat asking him to burn rubber and watching the cowl induction flap open up shortly after mashing the throttle. Some things mold us right or wrong. If being a car nut is wrong, Who wants to be right?

Almost 36, and the 69 that I've owned for like 4yrs has cleaned out my pockets and there's no end in site.

But I love it, problems and all!

32. First time chevelle owner at 30. Sold it about a year later. Headache car. Just bought another 1 month ago and am in love all over again and plan on keeping this one. I learned the hardway. Step up and buy a decent car and you won't have a money pit.

I will be 36 in a few days. Been an owner since age 14. There has always been a Chevelle at my house, almost born in a 68.

60, bought my first 66 in 66, today I drive a 66. At this age one simply changes the amount of "roll in" to cut a good light.

Just pulled the 454 out of my 70 SS 454 Sta. Wgn. yesterday (rear seal). Need an Alum. Doomed hood, The hood weights more today than it did in 70???

Will be 55 tomorrow. Got my first Chevelle in 1989 ( a 1966) and got my first Chevy in 1970. A beautiful 1957 2 door hardtop Matador red with a v-8. I have had my 1969 Chevelle SS for over 10 years and just fired it up yesterday for the first time in 2 years. Time gets away from you, need to get back into the chevelle.

im 42 years old and have a 1966 sschevelle 427cubic inch and a 1969 ss chevelle with 468 cubic inch.I have had alot of muscle cars and right now im turning my 69 chevelle into a recreation of my first 69 chevelle.Im hoping once im done it turns back the clock.I will let you guys know.

Im 15 right now turning 16 in 2 weeks and my first car is a 64 chevelle with a 383 stroker conected to a b&m th400. what a great 1st car

76' Chevelle was my first car at 16, $700.00 with a new 350, put 200k on the car, pulled the engine put in my '72 and put about 20k more on it. You could not kill that motor. When I pulled it apart I took the timing chain off by hand , it was streched out a bit! Bought the '72 in 1989 for 2k and have had it since. I am 39.

I'm 53. Had my first 69 chevelle in 1975, my bro smashed it up, bought another in 1976, my friend fried it. Gave up temporarily on Chevelles, had a 72 SS nova, then a 72 Lemans, then a 74 Camaro, a 63 SS nova ragtop. Five years ago I got my current Chevelle.

I;ll date myself and ell you I am 57 and get just as excited now as I did in 1966. You young guys must being doing something right as I could not afford todays pricers when I was your age. We all like the same cars but someone ought to take apoll on the music that goes with driving the cars. I think you will get a wide disparity.:D

I got my 71 when I was 12 for $300. I just sold it about 3 years ago to buy my 68, and I'm 23 now as of yesterday.

Older than a sack of Dick Clark farts. Actually just turned 59. I can remember when i met my wife... her dad paid $2315.00 for a green 65 Chevy 2 2 door htp w 283, 3 speed manual for her . Man was she pissed when i put headers and a floor shifter on it, and took it to the dragstrip. We've been married 38 years and she still brings that up.. They never forget ,do they?

37 here...bought the Chevelle the end of 1998, and it's taken almost ten years to figure how to properly set my timing, and get it running like it's suppose to !! "Live And Learn" !!
