I am going to be disassembling a set of new AFR heads to inspect them thoroughly. What type of spring tool do you guys recommend that will be easiest to use with the head on a workbench? There are alot of variations out there: I've seen the "C" clamp type that can only be used with the heads off the engine, the type that clamps the spring from both sides and then you screw down onto the valve stem, the type that is an "L" shaped piece of metal (prybar), and Jeg's part #778-66784 that says you can remove springs with the heads on or off the engine. WHEW!!!!!

The Jegs number is the one I would get. The "C" clamp type is best on the bench but that's it.
